This Arctic Animals Unit has been a particularly fun one! After learning about polar bears and snow hares, we have been learning about whales. Today we compared sizes of the whales with the other animals:
Afterwards, we went back and rechecked the sizes of other Arctic animals! The whale was the largest one!
We also have been enjoying playing with large ice boards into “icy” blue waters in our Sensory bin.
For art and for the easel, we created blue whales out of paper plates and paint!
Our Blocks area was a little bit different today as we added marshmallows and toothpicks so the children could create “igloos.”
We are looking forward to continuing this Unit after February Break and hope you all have a safe and enjoyable break!
