This final week of our Color Unit was packed with many different activities! A post office was added to the drama centers, and the children had fun role playing. They even created mail at the writing centers to play with in the post office, and some even got to send real mail home to their families!
We also have been reading the Seven Blind Mice during story time as it fits into our color theme. For the easel center, the children continued to mix paint and were encouraged to create still life paintings of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
For the art table and book centers, we have been talking about I Spy books. We had the children create their own I Spy page with a cardboard sheet and various small items. Ask your child if they brought one home and have fun playing I Spy with them!
Lastly for the water/sand table, moon sand and seashells were added for sensory play. The children enjoyed navigating through the table and comparing shells!
We are looking forward to the next Unit on Monday!
