Happy Spring! We have had such a lovely time enjoying this beautiful weather and exploring all that the island has to offer. We especially loved learning about composting. We had the opportunity to make our own compost and visit the Real School’s garden and large compost bin. We even got to taste some fresh spinach and see some adorable chicks. We look forward to continuing our second week learning about “Things That Grow”.

Some of the concepts we will learn next week include:

  1. Immature living things need special care.
  2. Adult and baby animals have different names.
  3. Some animals such as reptiles, fish, and birds hatch from eggs. Shells often protect the growing animal before eggs hatch.
