As you have probably already noticed, we are communicating briefly about school happenings every day with a communication notebook.  We are still waiting for the “notebook” part of the communication, but we will hopefully have them soon, which will make communicating much easier! Also, we are sending home weekly newsletters every Thursday!

Two add to these two forms of communication we have also decided to start a classroom blog.  This blog will contain the information found in the weekly newsletters as well as pictures from our day, videos of songs we are singing in the classroom (when available) and a video of our weekly ASL/Spoken English story.

We have decided to post our storytelling for two reasons.  1) The kids have really enjoyed listening/watching the story with technology! 2) It is a way for the children and families to learn and practice vocabulary that is related to our theme together!

This is a new process for us, so I am sure there will be some bumps along the way. Please let us know if you have any suggestions, ideas or additions you would like to see on this blog!!
