Learning Language through Winter Routines

We have been having a great time at P.I.T. this session, as new friendships are being made and families are supporting each other.

The past few weeks, we have been focusing on WINTER. Winter involves many extra processes and routines that provide great language opportunities. We discussed the new vocabulary involved in just getting dressed to go outside (hat, mittens, boots, scarf, cold, snow).

We have winterized our play space as well. The children have had fun building with the ‘snow blocks’, singing songs about winter clothes and reading books about snow. Our sensory table was a hit too, filled with cotton balls, white felt and colorful ‘snowflakes’.

Please join us on Wednesday Mornings from 10 – 11:30 am for more winter language fun!    Contact us if you have any questions! 207-781-6210
