Audiology services provided to children from birth through Grade 12 attending MECDHH programs include but are not limited to: aided hearing evaluations, functional listening assessments, fitting of hearing assistance technology, repair and troubleshooting of hearing aids, cochlear implants, and hearing assistance technology, and middle ear checks. Families are encouraged to maintain a primary care audiologist for their child, to ensure access to audiological services during vacations and after graduation. The educational audiologist at MECDHH coordinates services with primary care audiologists to ensure that each student receives appropriate audiological care.
