We hope you all had a restful and refreshing February break!
We are getting back in to the swing of things and will be wrapping up our Arctic Animals and Habitats unit this week.
The weather has been far too cold lately to play outside so in order to make sure the children get enough physical play we take them to the gym annex. One staff person will arrive at the annex before the children to set up an obstacle course. We implement several areas of physical activity such as running, jumping and leaping, tumbling, crawling, scooting, hula hooping, and dancing. While playing in the snow and getting fresh air and Vitamin D is preferable, the children always leave the gym feeling happy and satisfied.
